The Alexander Brown building has called the corner of Baltimore and Calvert Street home for over a century, providing an epicenter of banking and business to the City of Baltimore. Although centuries have passed, and Alexander Brown & Sons has since been purchased by a national bank, the Brown family still owns the building today.

This iconic building opened a new chapter with a different type of commerce as The Alexander Brown Restaurant. Although banking no longer takes place within the historic walls, The A.B. deals in the currency of conversation and community.
